Aztec Macuahuitl⧉

The Aztec Macuahuitl completely alters the steel longsword into a traditional Mesoamerican melee weapon. The core of the weapon is a flat, paddle-shaped club carved from aged, dark tropical hardwood. Intricate Aztec geometric patterns and deity faces are carved deeply into the flat wooden surfaces. Embedded along both edges of the club are rows of razor-sharp, jagged black obsidian volcanic glass blades. The handle is wrapped tightly in rough leather cordage with small feathers or beads dangling from the pommel. The weapon is a highly authentic historical recreation.
